In The Mirror
When I look in the mirror,
What do I see?
Is it my own reflection
Looking back at me?
Do I see someone
I wish I was not?
Do I focus on things
I haven't got?
Or can I feel complete
And give a smile or two?
Can I look at my Self
And say "I Love You"?
For it is with this Self
I must face the day;
And I know Self-acceptance
Is the only way.
I can't live for tomorrow
I've got to live now.
I intend to use my life
As best I know how.
So when I look in the mirror
What do I see?
I see a vision of my Self, being
All that I can be.
